THE WAY YOU DO ANYTHING IS THE WAY YOU DO EVERYTHING
“The Way You Do Anything Is the Way You Do Everything”
By Shawn Rose Practice What you Preach, You are the friends you keep, Two peas in a pod. You are
what you eat…. These are all sayings that allow an individual to get a general
Idea of who another person is or like based on generalizations that are very obvious to observe. What
does that mean about you? What does that mean about Me?
Are you being the best you that you can be? In the workplace, hiring managers can learn a lot about
employees and interviewees based on “subtle-yet
Not-so-subtle” tell-tale signs. If you come in for an interview and you are not dressed to impress
(professional dress) and you tell the employer that you pay attention to detail, and are a dedicated
worker – do you think that your way of dressing says that you are ready to represent the company? Of

course not! What about schooling? If you apply to a university and write to them to be accepted, but
your letter of interest is full of grammatical mistakes, and not properly formatted,
Do you think the college would think you are ready for their rigorous curriculum based on that letter? If
your child debates with you on their grades, and insist that
Their teacher is falsely accusing them of not completing assignments, but you see their room and it is
not kept up appropriately on a regular basis. Do you think your child is being completely honest based
on that? More than likely not. The way you do anything is the way you do everything, so it is easy to see
through someone’s deception by the habits they have. What about us? What kind of habits do you
Have?
Are you becoming the best you?
